JAMIE CLARK
Fine Art flora
photography
Jamie Clark is a professional photographer and artist. His passion for fine art flora photography runs along side a 20 year career shooting advertising photography for Londons top design agencies. Jamie’s art is his creative outlet from the constraints of commercial photography. His unique style has evolved over the many years he has worked in this medium. Inspired by the fragility of life and death, his distinctive images express an emotional interpretation of the natural world around him and how this relates to his identity.
Emulsion lifts
An emulsion lift is a photographic technique that produces a unique image, in which Jamie transfers a photographic print onto Arches 100% cotton 300g/m2 rough watercolour paper. He has perfected this difficult and delicate process over a number of years. The muted colours and the soft tones together with delicate creases and unpredictable tears work in harmony with subject matter of living and drying out flora.
5x4 film
Shooting, processing and printing film is where it all started for Jamie. Studying photography and honing the craft and skill of the traditional form, understanding light and mastering composition are the foundations of great photography. The 5x4 format of large format film cameras takes you back to the very start and the origins of photography. The sharpness and colours in these images are exquisite.

All of Jamie’s imagery is available in digital form, whether thats shot digitally, a professionally scanned emulsion lift @ 4800dpi or film scanned @6400dpi optical resolution.
